Recommended Posts

Hey guy, looking into getting some new pants. I saw these on somebody on a picture and I was wondering if any of you guys who have worn then have any thoughts. If any of you have had any eperiences with other higher level pants aswell and the motion elites feel free to chip in a thought. Thanks

Well I got to try these on they just had a fit that didn't seem right for pants although I don't have a ton of info on those I did make the switch from Easton S5 pants to CCM Vector 08s and I love them I do not have one bad thing to say about them protections is fantastic and mobility is flawless and they feel great. So if you want the high level maybe try out the Vector 10 pant

I've used the S15 Motion pants, which is the previous year model of the pants that you're asking about. The pants are very light and offer a lot of mobility. The inner part of the pants are basically a girdle without the thigh protection. The outer shell has the thigh protection. The pants are not bulky at all and the protection isn't bad. I did switch back to a more traditional pant, which I like better. I wouldn't pay full price for them, but if you can get them on Clearance they're definitely worth the money.

This is a fairly old thread, but you can still get these pants at a lot of online sites so I thought I'd leave a post.

I've had these pants for about a year and a half and can't speak highly enough about them. These were my third pair since I started playing and have been my favorites so far. They're really lightweight and don't impede my mobility at all. As far as protection, I'd say they're pretty good but if you're in a rough checking league you may want something a little beefier. The best thing about them is that the pads don't shift around when you skate, because aside from the thigh guards, they're built into the girdle.

You can take all the pads out of the girdle and throw them in the wash, which I do about twice a season, then put the pads back in with no problem.

I actually am thinking about buying a second pair while they're still around to have when this pair wears out, but I'm also looking at the new S19 Easton pants. I'm not sure why they didn't do a 2011 version of these, they're awesome.

I think it has to do with most customers not liking the girdle configuration and the fit. They get what they're used to as in one piece pants. Maybe the girdle and shell guys dont like it because they can't really throw on any shell they want on their. The Motion Elite is sorta stuck in the middle, trying to find middle ground
