I am looking to buy a HD Video camcorder in the near future and was wanting some input on what to look for as well as suggestions. Thanks.

it all depends on how much $ you want to spend

if you want to spend hundreds these are supposedly good

As of right now, I am looking at the Canon VIXIA HF S10 ($1,000 at Best Buy but less elsewhere).

b&h has that camera for $800 so definitely shop around
