I will say that the fit of these are also dependent on your shins, but that may be the case with any girdle. I had to cut off the top flap on my old shins as then kept getting caught when I straightened out the leg regardless of how loose I kept the thigh straps. Those broke and I picked up a pair of X40s and the top flap is kept in check much better which allows for a tighter thigh fit and better overall coverage.
