Repairing chipping shaft on SWD 9950

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have a SWD 9950 goalie stick and after taking many pucks off the shaft there are pretty large chips of wood missing from it that are splintering away.

What do you guys recommend to repair it? Is there any kind of epoxy or resin I should use to fill large missing chunks?

Thanks

Yeah... you could use a gel epoxy (I like Lepgage's 2-part syringe), but to be honest, the repaired parts will just get torn out again. The 9950 is a foam-core stick, so once it starts to go, it goes downhill pretty quickly.
