Hockey Shops in London,Ontario.

Hi all,

I am kind of new to this forum, so I would just like to say that it's nice to join everyone here, in my first post.

I am actually going to UWO for a study program starting from late August. Thus, I want to take this opportunity to purchase a pair of skates from a local shop that I can do proper fittings and heat molding.

Hence, I really need some recommendations for a great shop to purchase a pair of skates.

However, I dun mind traveling a little further if there is a great shop near by. I will also be stopping by New York for a couple of days.

London's got a few places. Petes SFS, London SFS and Perani's are the main 3 there. I've never purchased skates from any of the places, but all 3 have a good reputation. Perani's is almost like a warehouse, Petes is a much smaller shop and London SFS seems to be in the middle. I'd take a look at the selection of all 3 places and talk to the staff to get a feel of where you are most comfortable.

But I am wondering if it will be much wiser for me to shop in cities like Toronto or New york or New jersey?
