easton gloves s17, se16 or e-pro

Recommended Posts

hi, this is my first post (topic) ever.

i'd like to know what difference is between gloves easton s17, se16 and e-pro in terms of fit. i do not have a chance to check it myself because i live in U.K. and the shops here do not offer so many ice hockey products (if any).

thank you

The newer Stealth series (2007 onwards)offers a more anatomical fit, than before, kinda like the Bauer Supreme series. The SE16 and E-Pro fit more traditionally.

I have the S17 glove from 2008, when it was top of the line (the current iteration is a step below the S19). I dunno which S17 you're lookin at but the one from 2008 fits anatomically, quite light, protection is average, synthetic leather palm will get crusty after a while, comfortable and I really like the flex thumb.

thank you for a fast response. i think it is s17 from 2008. i found all those easton gloves on ebay(US) but i can´t decide which one should i buy. i prefer narrow fit with wide, short cuff for wrist mobility. i usually wear size 14"(too loose) but i can wear 13" gloves as well (fingers too short). last year i´ve checked my friend's s6 from 2007and they were almost perfect(too tight). i liked the flexibility. but i can´t find them anywhere....

The Stealth series, from 2007 past are the wider fitting gloves that I find are completely different than the newer Stealths. If you like the narrow fit with the wide cuff, there are better options than the S17 form 2008. Try this year's EQ series if you can find them.
