Did anyone have major problems? I broke an EQ50 fairly fast and was rather unhappy, so I asked for a S19 so this is what I received today

If that's what they sent you, that's rather surprising. Are you sure that wasn't a problem with shipping?

I say surprising because I bought a S19 down in the 'States (I'm from Manitoba) in August. Used the stick for one game and my tape got pretty beat up. I went to retape the stick, and there was this weird crack right in the center of the blade. Wasn't a gouge from a skate, or a chip. It looked almost like the crack was under the clear coat. I've owned a lot of sticks, and I've seen blades take a beating, but this wasn't normal. I didn't want to make a frivolous claim...but I also didn't want to have the blade break on me in 31 days. Not for that price.

I called Easton's warranty department in the 'States just to check if this was a warranty issue, figuring I'd have to send it down to the US, and they said to just call Easton Canada. Made the call, the rep. I talked to said it sounded like a warranty issue and they'd cover it, got an RMA number, cut the stick in two and shipped it off (somewhere in Quebec, I think).

Less than a week later I got a brand new S19 shipped right to my door. And it's still going strong.

I'd say, from my experience and from what I've read around here, that Easton has pretty decent customer service. I find it really, really hard to believe they'd send you a stick in that condition.

Maybe they accidently sent you a stick that someone sent them as a warranty replacement. Sometimes mix ups happen in the warranty department. You should call them and ask them. Im sure that they'll do something about it.

Thats what it looks like. I called them today and described what happened. They contacted fedex and scheduled a pick up and need to go through the process again. I hope I finally get what I asked for
