Reattaching VN liner in Mission NME helmet

Not exactly sure whats going on here or how this went, but I hadn't worn my white helmet in a few months and went back to put a cage on it, only to find the screws rusted shut. I couldn't get to the backpieces so I carefully pulled out the padding in the front and now realize I have no idea how to reattach it properly. Any suggestions or guidance would be great, thanks.

I dont know what to do at all. Whether the backpieces are supposed to fit in so its attached by the screws, or whether it should be glued, and if so at what point?

I dont have my Intake infront of me right now, but I had to take the pads out before. I'm going to try and track it down and see if I can help any.
