Modifying Graf G35x Ankle Area

Recommended Posts

Everything about my Graf G35x's work great, but the one thing I would like to modify is around the ankle. I'd love to have just a bit more padding. My old Bauer X:60's and CCM 07's both had more padding when compared to these skates. Has anybody done a modification on a pair of Graf's to add more ankle padding?

-Thanks, Todd

Try Gel socks...figure skaters wear then all the time.

Lots of different things you could try from bunga

I ended up going a bit further than anticipated in my quest to get these skates ideal for my ankles. After talking in length/detail with George's Hockey Repair I sent the skates in to them to get some additional padding built into the skate. Here's the before picture:

I'll be getting these back next week and update this post on the difference.

-Thanks, Todd
