Bauer Pants: TotalOnes longer than same-sized One80s?

Recommended Posts

Tried on some pants this weekend. I tried on the Medium Tall versions (I'm tall and skinny) of the Bauer TotalOne and One80 pants. I was surprised that the One80s were noticeably shorter - probably an inch. The TotalOnes were a good fit, but they are overkill for my level of play (and therefore unnecessarily heavy) and because they are $50 more.

Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just seeing things?

I don't have direct experience with those Bauers, but I do know that if you need length in the pants, you've got to try on every model yourself to see what works best. I went through the experience of trying on a lot of different brands until I settled on the Tackla's. They were the longest of all models I tried (Reebok, Bauer, Easton, Warrior).

I just tried them both on the other day at my LHS as well. I'm only 5'9" so didn't need the tall version but the Medium One80 and Medium TO's seemed to fit the same to me. I ended up going with the One80's being that they were only $99, played with them the following day. Amazing pant for the money.

Are you sure you didn't try on Medium-Tall Total One's and just regular Medium One80's?

I read your thread about buying pants. I have enough trouble buying stuff, but I can't imagine what it would be like being taller. I didn't go the marker route, but I'm wondering if I should! I think I'll end up going with the Tackla.

That's what I thought too. But I checked like 3 times. I'm going to go back and try another pair. Sometimes I wonder if these things don't get incorrectly labelled every once in a while, or the quality control isn't 100%. It kinda sucks, though, because I live in the heart of the city, where I'm surrounded by big box stores and not LHS. As a result, I have to drive out to find tall sizes because none of these big box stores stock them.
