Hockey beirut/beer pong table

so i've been saving a lot of twigs for a couple of months now to make a chair however me and my bud just moved into a new place, and we decided instead of making aforementioned chairs to make a pong table.

i've got the basic dimensions down. but any of you guys got any tips on making one of these guys.

If the sticks aren't flush, you might want to throw a piece of glass over top. You gotta have accurate bounces, no?
