Non Tapered shin guards

I play "D" and would prefer a pair of shins that is about the same width all the way down or with minimal taper in the ankle area. I have some older bauer supremes now and they definitely taper. The Easton's and Reebok look like the best bet, thoughts?

Every shin pad 'tapers', no company nowadays (there might have been some before, but that's beyond my knowledge) is going to sell a uniformly boxy shin pad and expect it to fit because no one's leg is shaped like that. However for width/bulk, Reebok and Easton Synergy could be a good place to start, as well as older models of CCM Tacks.
