Easton Stealth S19 V2 Senior Hockey Gloves Opinions?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a pair of these since they're on sale. I'm currently using Bauer 4 rolls but don't like how loose they are. Anyone have any experience with these Eastons and have any feedback? I searched the interwebs and couldn't find anything. I read somewhere that Easton gloves are garbage. My last pair of Eastons were Easton Airs (1996?) and remember they were pretty good. Also, what is the difference between V1? Thanks!

P.S. Is it worth an extra $15 to get the EQ50 gloves?

The one you posted IS the V1. The V2 has a black stretch gusset in the palm, which addressed a previous concern that the palm wasn't very mobile and scrunched up easily. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you, the EQ50 isn't as tight on the fingers as the S19 and is a bit looser in the cuff/backhand area.

The extendable cuff on the S19s are pretty nice...if you want further protection in that area between the glove and elbow pad that is.

The EQ50 has an extendable cuff, too.

I am in my EQ50s now for more than a half year and really happy with the protection they offer.

The stitching on my right glove just past the Easton name came apart on my S19 (V1) glove in just 15 games...Switched over to the EQ50 gloves and played more than 30 games in them, so far and they have held up well.

Are you sure? I checked the V1 on another site and it had the stretch gusset in the palm. The V2 does not on both sites. Do they have it backwards?

V2: http://www.hockeymon...-s19-v2-sr.html

Edit: I checked the 2011 Easton catalog and it shows that same picture for V2.

Besides the durability, how do you like them compared to each other?

Yes I'm sure. Regardless, get the ones with the gussets and if there's any confusion on their end, see if they can confirm different SKUs.

V1 had the lycra gussets in the palms, the V2 has solid nash palms. I wasn't crazy of the V1, I found the gusset tended to bunch on either side, I like the V2 much better.
