Easton RS shin pads - width question

just picked up a pair of easton RS shin pads, haven't yet skated in them. have been using my trusty jofas for the last 15 years or so, and they'll always be the yardstick i measure shin pads against.. the knee cap portion of the RS feels pretty small to me. as if my knee doesn't get covered quite enough. my legs are on the slim side, so this was unexpected. curious if anyone has had issues with easton shin pads width and/or size of the knee portion?

Issue with size? Wouldn't that depend on the person's knee?

Some people can't stand the rigidity of the calf wrap. I'm surprised they kept the same rigidity from the S19s.

it's a bulky pad, but it's very protective. I like how the knee cap isn't locked into the rest of the shin guard but i do feel the need to tape it down to make sure it stays against my knee and moves with me. As for size, I'd say it's pretty wide and the knee cap covers my knee completely.
