Grip shafts causes glove holes.

Recommended Posts

Last night getting ready for my adult hockey league game I saw my Warrior Bully gloves found two holes. They are only half a year old and I use an Easton RS grip for the past couple months and now there is a hole at the palm of my right glove (right handed). I asked my friend and he said it could be possibly from the grip shaft. I also used the gloves with my old One95's that were not grip. Also my upper hand (left hand) on the grip from below the pinkie finger along the side of the hand is a big hole that goes to the wrist area. I liked these gloves but I"m looking at staying with Warrior maybe upgrade to the Bonafide X. However for sticks I only have one RS it still looks new but I'm planning on going back to Bauer with the non grip Nexus 1000. Any thoughts on the glove wear would be great considering it may change my next purchases for gloves and sticks. Thanks!

Whatever you feel comfortable with. if you're used to grip then stuck with on. The plans on the bullys are sub par in places with no double covering. With better quality gloves I don't think palms will be a problem. But, i also think you shouldn't care about holes anyways in your lower hand.

Thanks, yeah this is my first grip stick and the grip still looks new with showing no wear. I do like the grip of the Easton but not the Bauer grip after trying my friends stick out. My one95 were not grip put after awhile I tried the plastic dip spray which gave a matte grip like finish. I had a harrow 300 matte grip but I can live without grip. Yea the gloves are def sub par which I can look into something better. I'm still deciding if I want another RS or go to Bauer. Decisions, decisions, decisions, thanks for your help.

After taking a second look the stick doesn't touch where the hole is starting. The Warrior Bully I think has a decent layer in the palm is it is weird that the hole is under that on the right glove. Not sure how the left got the side hole but I sewed that shut.
