new wheels

First skate on brand new rink rat hot shots and had far less grip that my last pair. Does it take a couple skates to break in?

As far as the Hornets taking a few games to get the maximum grip I believe that some of your wheels may have excess mold release on them. Mold Release???Whats that! Mold release is a chemical that we spray in our molds to allow the wheel to come out of the mold, thus the name mold release. This is obviously a very slick material. Our wheels are washed and inspected before getting out to the market, but it appears that some may have needed a bit more wiping down. I'll make sure that problem is rectified.

So yes it may be possible to take a few skates to get the mold release off. Hope this helps.
