Lined Toecaps

I am going to order some new Graf skates soon and was wonering if lined toecaps would first of all require a bigger sized skate and if from anyones experience if they actually do make a difference when pucks, etc. go off of your toes. Thanks.

your toe cap is a really hard plastic so i dont think a liner would really make that much of a difference in protection.

The Synergy skate has a lined toecap and I can wearr the same size in those as in the Z-airs. So I doubt Graf is any different.
