Reebok 20K Vs 18K Skate

Recommended Posts

Mainly the quarter package:

20K:

Heel Support -- DSS (Dynamic Support System) - Spinal Zone composite insert with 90° and 0° orientation + Skate Lock feature

Lining Material -- Dual zone tacky Nash & durable Clarino®

Weight -- (gm) 864

18K:

Heel Support -- DSS (Dynamic Support System) - Spinal Zone monofilament mesh composite insert + Skate Lock feature

Lining Material -- Dual zone Duratex® grip & durable Clarino®

Weight -- (gm) 856

I have only owned the 20Ks so I can't speak much for the 18Ks, but I think $150 difference is mainly due to the lining material on the inside being Nash vs. Duratex and perhaps the way they stitched the back of the boot to create a better heel lock.

And digging around some forums (this one included) it seems the main difference is the fit. The 18Ks are essentially an 11K (CCM/RBZ type boot), while the 20K is similar to a Bauer Supreme skate because the lining material makes the fit more narrow.
