SillyMe 22 Report post Posted March 13, 2014 going skate shopping tomorrow. what shop is best? pure hockey franklin ma or hockey monkey norwood ma. I have read mixed reviews on both looking for opinionsPure Hockey has far less to choose from in skates, and far less sizes to choose from in a line, especially if you have wide feet. Typically the prices for skates are similar, except sales, where Monkey is usually quicker to discount ( Easton Rs were 399 at both, Monkey dropped to 329).Pure Hockey gives you a 30 Day Guarantee, so if they don't fit right/ you end up not liking them, you can return them (I believe for a credit- not 100% sure), where as once you sharpen the skates at Monkey, YOU OWN THEM.I generally go to Norwood Monkey, because they have a bigger selection of gear. SillyMe 22 Report post Posted March 14, 2014 Raynham, U ?I was kind of fortunate too, the Easton Rs fit me the best, and while they still cost 4 beans on sale, it's better than the original cost.
