Sr Helmet - Jr cage

Recommended Posts

My son (6yrs old) has a big head so he has an adult size helmet. An adult cage is way too big for his face. Has anyone put a Jr cage on a Sr Easton E600/E700?

I bought (ordered online) my son (now 10 year old) a small E600 helmet before the 2012/13 season and I know what you're talking about... the cage is insanely big and although the helmet fit well the chin cup was a good few inches below his chin. I can't speak to a junior size cage, but I was able to put his old cage on the helmet which was an itech wire cage size small. I still think the chincup is a bit low, but there's nothing else I can do to adjust it. Might have to go with a new helmet if you can't find a cage that works with his head.

Both my sons have Sr helmets 9 &11 years old and they actually wear the old school Jofa bubble cage and fits perfect, my older son is a little picky so I'll switch the bubble with the newer style Jofa cage with the fixed chin cup, same as the reebok cage that is now offered.

I had an old school jofa cage too haha shoulda held onto it. Maybe I'll bring the helmet to LHS and see if they can try a couple out.

Thanks for your input guys!

It is normal and quite common to go with a senior sized helmet and JR cage.
