Bauer Apx2 vs Bauer X900 skates

Hi all,

Long time lurker first time poster (I think)..

Quick question b/c I know a lot of you are very knowledgeable re:hockey equipmemt..

 

My son used Apx2 skates last season and loved them, this year he decided he wanted the x900..

 

can you guys tell me what skate makes more sense for an 11 year old...good, strong skater that plays at a high level.

 

I think he should stick to the Apx 2's based on how well he skated in them...are the specs of the skates relatively the same?
