synthesis or si core

ive been reading that alot of people like the synthesis more then the synthersis si-core. Why is this? im gonna get a an easton synthesis 2 piece but not sure what to get as a blade.

I herd that it had to do with the silicon strips in the blade werent there when they cut them in half after they broke. And i think the si core blades dont hold up as well as the regular synthesis blades if you do alot of slap shots.
