New Shoulder Pads

I've been wearing the Bauer 5000 Supreme Gel Shoulder Pads for a really long time now and it is time to get new ones (they're falling apart). I've been looking at the V12s because they won product of the year, but I was wondering if they fit like the 5000s and all that jazz.

I have had 5000s and now have V12s. The V12s are much more mobile (less restrictive and lower shoulder caps), yet the V12s offer a tad less protection on chest and back. Weight is about the same.
