New AIM Virus

I don't know how many of you have seen it, but it hijacks people's away messages and pastes "NEW PICS FROM THE BEACH http://home.kc.r.com/cnchoirboys/photos.pif !!!!!". So being the smart kid I am, I click on the link in my friend's away message, and now every away message I put up transforms into this. Does anybody know how to get rid of it? I ran Ad Aware, but that did nothing. Thanks.

Nortons anti-virus, but mine just eventually went away. Does it also not allow your task manager to pop up? Thats wat happened with mine.

same thing happened to me, i used avast anti-virus and it cleared up

Hey dietzie is avast only a 59 day trial because mine says 59 days left

maybe it is, but it gets rid of the viruses the first time you run it, then protects
