mission chassis weight

Recommended Posts

Anyone have an idea on how much the 7000 series frame weighs on the 2004 mission d1c's? I read that the entire skate weighs 1300 grams (which is about 2.9 pounds) I am wondering how much of that is the chassis.

The skates feel a little heavy on my feet and am considering replacing the chassis with the Red Star aluminum (shipping weight=1/2 lb.), but want to know if it's really worth it.

I had the D1Cs for a bit, but had to give them up. The chassis did seem a bit heavy. I currently use nothing but Red Star Eframes (silver) on all my skates. Love them. Weight is great, and very strong. Ive been on one set for over a year now, and no big damages, just some smudges and scrapes. It is def. lighter than the D1C chassis. IMHO, they made the chassis very thick to compensate for pucks denting the sides.

Just an fyi, the red star website says the alloy chassis is/are 90 grams (almost 2/10ths of a pound) Anyone else have the red star allloys and notice big weight diferences?
