Buying a new MP3...which one?

not meaning to rip on anyone but.... iPod Minis are a waste of money.. look at the math....

iPod mini 4gb = $62.50/gb

ipod mini 6gb = $40/gb

iPod 20gb = $15/gb

for me a mini was out of the question as i have near to 3,000 songs, but even if i had 500 i would NEVER get a mini. besides, the size isnt that different.

Well it's like buying anything else in life. You save yourself money per unit if you purchase in bulk or big quantities. I wouldn't get the 20GB myself because I don't even think I can fill up a 4GB iPod. If you really need the 20GB, definately go for it. But I wouldn't buy more than I need. I have a friend on her 3rd iPod in 2 years. Her first one was stolen at work. Her second one died and her current one is her replacement. The battery is something that pulls me away from buying an iPod. I guess it's just bad press since everything that is rechargable whether it be a cell phone battery or rechargable batteries eventually loses it's ability to hold a charge.
