I have the 8000 and it does have some weight to it but I also have an Itech HX-50 so that adds a little weight to it. Haven't tried the Reebok helpmet yet but if I do I will let you know how they compare.

The 8000 is nice because of the adjustment capabilities. I have adjusted mine in the middle of games before without a problem.
