Broken sticks

Recommended Posts

I do a few things. I collect all broken sticks I find at the rink.

I give them to a friend who builds furniture (tables and chairs).

Cut them and make sticks for kids learning to play.

Gave to another friend who decorated his kids room w wainscoting made by sticks.

turn them into two piece sticks for street/ pond hockey. I have tried to use them on the ice during a pick up or stick and puck and I just can't play with the way it changes the flex points or anything like that. For ball hockey the flex point doesn't matter to me at all.

I run a floor hockey camp at my church in the summer so I use everyone I find and pair them with blades for cheap sticks for camp since we provide sticks and shins to all the kids.

I also got all the neighborhood kids into roller hockey with my son as well as several other kids at church so I'm always making sticks for all of those kids especially as they grow.

I'm always hustling for shafts wherever I find them - ha ha.
