1 pointSee if you can find a roll of "helicopter tape", designed to protect helicopter blades from damage. Similar to what your phone screen protector film is made of and many cyclists who ride carbon fiber frames use it to protect their bikes from road or trail debris that could impact their frame and crack it. I have TF9s and haven't had any issues with the carbon areas. Although I play very low level and probably am not in the situations that would cause damage very often.

1 pointI finally got around to doing this to my older AS3 skates... Kydex: Amazon 2pack .080" thick 12"x12" Cut out with a jig saw, sanded all edges. Only used a heat gun. Double sided 3M heavy duty tape after cleaning both surfaces. Will skate in them tomorrow to see how I like they way they turned out.
