  1. Yeah I have a pair of their socks and I like those so I figured the jersey would be nice.

I'm just waiting for them to make some Tron NHL socks in the new Kings colors. I'll be all over those.

Also, is there a Tron rep anywhere on this board? I'd love for them to chime in about maybe some upcoming products or ideas.

  2. Senior Rolling Travel Bag - The interior of the bag feels a bit cramped compared to my basic Bauer 36" bag from 7-8 years ago. I had to actually lay out the gear intelligently in order to fit my helmet into the bag. I am sure I can get my ice gear into the bag, but it will probably be a tight fit unless I figure out how to pack the bag better. It has a small interior bag for holding tools or pucks, but I am a little worried about putting my skate tool in there and having it rip through since the material is thin. If it happens, there is always duct tape.

I managed to get a small tear in the side pocket on the wheeled side somewhere between my car and the rink. I am assuming the Gatorade I put in this pocket pushed out the bag enough where it dragged a bit. A little disappointing, but nothing that can't be fixed with... DUCT TAPE!

I agree with everything above. Here's a few things about that bag I've noticed after a few days as well...

That side of your bag with tear could have been prevented if it had some kind of plastic on the pocket. I stood mine up a few times at the rink and while getting into my apartment and noticed that nothing was protecting the pocket and it was already scuffed up nicely. Avoid standing it up.

What's up with the zipper on the interior bottom of the bag? I have no clue what purpose it holds.

On the website it mentions a zipper that lengthens the bag. Am I missing something here? Where the hell is it?

It's a little cramped but I like the size. I'm able to fit all my gear plus a laundry bag with all my underwear, socks, jock, etc.

It's my first wheeled bag and for $32 bucks I'm pretty happy.

  3. Man I hope they do. Hockey Giant in Anaheim is always a mess when I go. I understand that when you work retail it's hard to keep things organized throughout the day but it literally looks like they close the place up at night without cleaning. They did fit my buddy perfectly into some Bauer x40's though.

I can never find anyone to help me with anything at Hockey Monkey. I was picking up a pair of Bauer skate socks that didn't have any size indication so I went to the counter to ask and the girl there just grabbed them and looked and said "Ummmm I don't know" and gave them back. I stood there thinking maybe she would check another source or something but she just turned around and kept talking to other co workers.

  4. I bought the 2.99 (80mm, 74a on Hummer chasis) wheels and bearings. I don't see any big difference between them and the Rink Rats I was using. They were slightly bouncier than my old wheels but I think it's because those wheels were pretty worn down. I like them. For 2.99 I think they're perfect for any rec league guy. I don't know how they might hold up with some of you Narch type guys.

(sorry for putting this in the ice forum. move if needed.)

Edit: I tried on the socks with my shins at home. I have a pair of retail edge socks to compare them to. The Tron socks are TIGHT. If you tried edge socks and thought they were too tight then be weary of the Tron socks.

  5. Just got my Tron socks and inline wheels in from UPS. Took a day from Hockey Tron to San Diego. Only Ice Warehouse has ever been that fast. I wont be able to try the Tron socks until a pick up or stick time but I have a roller game tonight and I'm gonna give the wheels and bearings a spin. I randomly ordered after one of my wheels chunked out last Friday.

  6. Did anyone bite on any pre orders of the ice or inline skates? I'm curious to hear some first impressions when they're released. I have some time next week so I'm thinking of driving out to the store in Los Alamitos to give it a look. Lots of 5 star reviews for the STORE (not the Tron products in particular) on Yelp.

  7. DING DING DING!!!! WE HAVE WINNER!!!! Damn!!

LOL yeah. Guys was moving and didn't know what he had. I think they might have been given to him when he played a few years back. I don't know if they are too big or if I'm just not used to the way Tackla's fit. I guess I'll see when I skate with them this weekend.

  8. Had my buddy pick this INNO up for me at Monkey Sports in Santa Ana for $50.

I had gone the day before and passed on it and on the way back home to San Diego I was regretting it instantly. Luckily my friend was going to the Ducks game on Friday night and said he would stop by and pick it up for me. The lie was ridiculously flat. Felt like it would be great for stick handling. The flex is what made me put it back on the shelf originally. Felt slightly stiffer than my 75 flexes.

And if you guys are interested they had a few more with the same curve but they felt like completely different sticks with different flexes(which I'm sure they were). They also had one with more of a pro stock Ovi type curve but it was somewhere around 100 flex. Super stiff. It was a smoking deal for $50 bucks.
