I want to say that’s similar in design to the original Bauer G3.

That would be cool.  I had a G3 a while back and that was a fun shooting stick as well.  Might have to give the Jetspeed a shot.

Thanks for the responses (most of them...).  😜  That went off the rails there for a minute...

Softest feeling. The blade has no ribs or foams really it’s a play on the RBZ speed pocket blade. IMO poor puck feel, damp and not very lively or crisp. Rigidity isn’t the issue. FWIW pucks fly off the blade. Shoots hard.

got it.  what would you say is a comparable shooting stick?  I'm currently using a RibCor and I like it, but it's low kick, and doesn't really give that smooth/effortless motion when I shoot.  If that makes any sense...

The blade is very soft. It does not play anything like a Nexus 1000. R shaft is a love or hate shape and the stick is not particularly light.

I'm not a fan of soft blades. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Any suggestions on finding something similar to the Nexus 1000?

  4. So I unload a bunch of skates that I didn't need/wear and pick up a pair of U+CL to replace my One90's. Then I see these on Ebay in my size and width, new in box and compulsivlt pull the trigger. Wanted a pair badly back in the day but had a Tacks 352 budget....

If those were the pumps I would be EXTREMELY jealous, loved those skates (with tuuks).

  5. Summed up in one word - versatile

Lots of sticks on the market shoehorn you into a certain way to shoot the puck; or handle one sort of shot better than the other. Nexus 1000 handled every shot consistently and equally - so instead of a lights-out wrister and a piss-poor slapshot you get a good wrister and a good slapshot. Easy load, didn't feel forced or artificial.

I'm a big TotalOne fan, but this stick is looking more and more like my next purchase. Thanks for the great feedback. Can't wait to see the full review.

Are you going to include comparisons of the Nexus to the TotalOne and APX?
