Looks great man!
Thanks!
How much does a project like this cost? Been dying to make one myself.
It was quite a bit. It was no less than $350ish for just the material alone, up until now.

For a while now, I have been meaning to build myself a single hockey locker/cabinet unit like you see in most pro dressing rooms. I started it a couple weeks ago and tonight I finally finished it. Made it out of 3/4" Maple, mostly fastened with biscuits. Bench seat which doubles as storage, and wire shelving for improved drying (compared to solid shelves). All that is left is to give it a final sanding and then stain and clear it. Also still need to add a couple hooks here and there. These crappy cell phone pics don't do it justice, sorry.

Wow.
-
Just picked this up.
Nice, where'd you score those? What size? They look brand new.
-
These are the jofa-made, Rbk-marked elbows that the pros wear if I'm not mistaken.
These are a size XL, which are just big enough to be uncomfortably large on me, so I'm planning on selling them if I can get over 100 dollars for them on ebay or the marketplace. If not, I'll just break them in and wear them for the remainder of my life as they are the most comfortable elbows that I've ever worn. What does everybody think?
Those aren't pro stock. They would say 7K PRO, and be much higher quality. Not a bad deal at $25 though I guess.
-
They are very comfortable, but I do believe there is also a gross inflation on these because of "Everyone-has-them-I-need-them-too-syndrome", I recall picking up a pair for $30 bucks and now they command $80-120.
I've seen the 8k pros (brand new) go for close to $200 on eBay, and the 7Ks fetch a bit less. You're right , people are getting crazy over these. Glad I paid nowhere near that.
Is it right that the 7k seems less bulkier. At this time I'm in 10k's but they are so bulky. I want to stay with RBK/Jofa so the 7k would help me.
Yes, the 7k pros are a bit less bulky than the 8k pros. The design is a bit different under the knee cap.

Everyone's lovin the Reebok shins! Fill me in...why they so good, and what am I missing? lol
I wanted them cause I've been using Jofas for years, and now the RBKs are what the Jofas used to be. RBK 8K pro is the Jofa 5090 and the RBK 7K pro is the Jofa 6070.

14" narrow, original non blooming cuff, black assembly thread, pearl mustang palms.
-
Scored a pair of 8K Pros too.

Finally found a brand new pair of these in my size, for a great price.
New shin pads!
Beauties, how/where did you score those?
-
Nice pick ups. How was the pricing?

Got my second set of current-spec custom Warriors today (third pair overall). Pretty much replicating the ones I have on page 96 of this topic with a few differences...
Here are the specs:
-14" Franchise normal (wide)
-100% Tufftek
-All black with full-roll white lettering/outline logo (compared to white/silver before)
-Name embroidered on (they used the more "modern" font this time)
-Number emboridered on but in black
-White mesh gussets (compared to black)
-VA80 with Pro Pack
-Digital Palm
-Kovalchuk Cuff
-Black Assembly Thread
Ordered July 7th. Arrived September 12th.
I was wondering about this. I just ordered an all black pair with white lettering just like yours, but I went with black outline. I asked Btell back on page 95 about his, and he said that's what he went with too. I wasn't sure if the white lettering and outline would look as stupid as it does on the Warrior customizer, it had me somewhat confused. Obviously after seeing these it looks normal, and very similar to the ones on page 95.

Just received 2 pairs of Franchise gloves. Can't say enough good things about Joe @ Warrior. Although I did not opt for every option possible I was very particular about what I wanted and the only thing Warrior did not do was a different logo on the thumb of the black pair. Both pairs are 14", all Tufftek, Savard cuff (I waited a couple months to order as Warrior just finished the cutting dies and there is no additional cost now), embroidered name (edited) & number, nash palms and VA-80 with pro pack
On the navy pair, is that white print with white outline?

hmmph..maybe this is why the selection wasn't so great..i never really could wrap my head around why they had to take all the equipment anyways..i mean i can understand maybe some of the players wanting to keep some skates, sticks etc..but seems like they took every last thing they could get there grubby little hands on. I mean its not like they can use any of the thrashers colored stuff anyways..but oh well past is the past! Man, i'm gonna miss those boys so much more when the season starts up again..
The equipment and sticks you speak of popped up at the PIAS here in Winnipeg.

New shoulder pads
Nice, where did you score those?

Warrior Franchises. 14" Narrow, digital palms, black thread, black W on the thumb, pro pac, Kovalchuk cuff
Kovalchuk cuff. Don't have either the Savard or Hossa cuff to compare it too, but this is a very mobile cuff.
Nicely done.

Has anyone tried both the blooming cuff and the older standard cuff? Couldn't find any pics of the differences either.

To b33f - I think what you're missing here, and perhaps lost in all of this, is that I sense PSHG has a deal with Warrior Canada for 'stock custom' gloves, if that makes any sense. Meaning, the price is the price is the price, but it only includes the things I mentioned above, with a small upcharge for Number and Palms. That said, a Canadian customer can probably go through a Canadian retailer (The Hockey Shop, MajerHockey, etc) to get a truly custom glove done. (lengths, cuff, etc.)
Ya, I guess the post I quoted earlier was referring to PSHG. I was personally just referring to Warrior Canada. I understand what you are saying though, and I agree. There is clearly some sort of deal between PSHG and Warrior Canada, cause that PSHG price is pretty decent.
-
But PSHG is based in Canada. So, what sense would it make for them to have that same partnership with Warrior USA?
That said, there isn't a shortage of US retailers that will accommodate people for their gloves.
I think the real beef is with Warrior Canada, not PSHG. Why should Canadians have to order through Warrior USA to get fully customized gloves? It makes no sense.
-
those familiar with this thread may remember my issue with my latest pair of Franchise customs, Kovalchuk clones that I ordered through PSHG and asked for but never got the Hossa cuff. Joe from Warrior USA suggested that I contact Warrior Canada directly and see if they could do anything about it. over a month later I finally received a reply:
Hi,
Unfortunately at this time we can't do any custom additions that are not available online. This also includes sending the cuff at a later date as per your request.
We are working on adding the Hossa style cuff and other options onto the customizer, but at this time, they aren't available.
Have a nice day,
Warrior Canada
considering that Warrior USA is perfectly capable of granting these special requests this reply is just mind-boggling to me!
I emailed Warrior Canada as well and got the sameish answer. What a load.....
-
I love PSHG, but opted to do my customs through IW. That way I got to work with Joe at Warrior US. I also got my 10% discount as always (IWin member), so the amount was the same as PSHG. Mine were $352 pre discount.
I was thinking the same thing. So they were the same amount as PSHG, with only 10% off at IW?

buddy got me a pro stock Nik Zheredev visor.
Niiice.

Got these done a couple days ago. Picked up the tongues at my LHS.

Finally got the stain and clear coat done, and mounted all the hooks.
