  1. Don't even get me started on how irritating it is to me to have Rbk 9k pants and no other RBK gear to pair it with. It's all about 2. I'm crazy but whatever.

hehehe my new thing is always buying sticks/blades in pair

my friends think i'm retarded having so many sticks (currently 27) but i don't like using the same one consecutively

i can't see me using a red SiCore when i wear my green jersey??

okay maybe i've more in common with rustpot than i thought :P

  2. You want to go to the shop, grab a 9K and color match? I can find neon and regular (forest?) green. Neither matches and would look tacky. (edit) The red on the XXXX is actually a bit too bright. It will darken with use, though.

well, the neon would work the best IMO as it will definately darken with dirt/sweat/etc... used to do the same with my sticks but didn't like the discoloration of my gloves with so many colors on my handles they just added up to that swampwater color. so now only the blade is matched colorwise

    you could try camo! :)

my LHS only made one order and none since (that I've seen) so matching up is not an option. generally the two shades they have of most colors is close enough for me.

  3. My handle. A ritual for every new stick. Color coordinated to the stick (though I'd rather have matching green for the 9K, I can't find any cloth that color). Each one takes me about 10-15 minutes. I've tried many other styles and I just can't get used to other styles.

Canadian Tire regularily has a nice bright green $5.19 CDN (1"x25m)

also seen at sport chek but sporadic $5.99 CDN (1"x25m)

also LHS has it (1.25"x18m) generally around $3 bucks I think

quite easy to find actually if you're a Canadian! :P

  4. lots of people check the flex by seeing the amount of flex 'in total' and not how stiff it is to begin flexing or where the flex point is (which IMO is all you need to know in the store)

just told a guy off at my LHS (don't work there) as he had the stick (Vapor XXV) at almost a 45deg. angle. looked at me unimpressed and didn't buy anything but I got $25 off from the employee who saw me give him shit! gave me his discount, yay!! :D

  5. Merry Christmas to me! Merry Christmas to me!

  9. Product: Easton Synergy Si-Core Grip RH 'Modano' 85 flex.

    Background: 5'8 195 lbs.

BLADE: I can't say there's a great feel for me to this blade, it feels like really stiff cardboard!! Not too impressed with the feel after all I heard. Great durabilty as after 6 mths no cracks or anything. 7/10

FLEX- 85 flex; this flex definately suits me and my ability and strength level; great. 10/10 (note - I have other sticks with this flex as well)

STICKHANDLING/FEEL- I'm so-so for stickhandling and the feel of the Si-Core kinda sucked so that's not too good 5/10

WEIGHT/BALANCE- the weight was slightly lighter than my UltraLite & Z-Bubble but the balance is about the best I've tried (props to the UltraLite there) . Sits nice in the hands. 8.5/10

DURABILITY- no probs with durability for other than some minor paint chipping (what do you expect a 70mph puck (or the boards!!) to do. I would get another on on that alone

    9/10

SHOOTING/PERFORMANCE - while my slapper has improved I find it harder to adjust my wrist shot (typicallly my strength). I think I'm trying too hard to get a 'whip' effect by dragging the stick. 6/10

OVERALL - I was pleased as this was my first OPS. It gets points for not breaking in the first game! LMAO! While the blade feel wasn't quite what I expected and took some getting used to I'd give it a good score of ....

    FINAL SCORE: 8/10

EDIT: JR informed me I had to add individual scores so I did. (along with some needed spelling corrections)
