  1. Here is a Drury (Sherwood clone PP20), I've never use it so no idea how close it is.

This warrior W05 looks Druryish also

The T90 or the current version at least still exists, there's some on the monkey site right now but no heel curves.

I've not worked in a hockey shop for a minute but when I did we could order direct from the manufacturer if it was something they still made.

Warrior, Sherwood, and True all make heel curves I believe so any authorized retailer should be able to order you up one.

We used to get a catalogue every season that showed what was available.

  2. We would bake gloves for people that were on the fence about a purchase. IMO it replicates what the glove will feel like once it has broken in. Not perfect but pretty close.

Fair warning: don't bake gloves that someone has played in for any length of time, this goes for skates also. It amplifies any smell they have.

  3. I did try it only one skate and did noticed a slight difference. Like everything else I'm sure profile, ROH, and skating style all play into it. Factoring in the number of applications you get out of the jar it's not expensive to use, so I plan on sticking with it for the foreseeable future.

In order to do the experiment objectively have someone else put it on for you but not tell you which skate has it.

  4. I'm stuck between the slovak and versteegs curve? Hard to order a curve that you can't see in a store. Picture help but could be miss leading. I didn't like the gionta found it a bit too close for me. I do like the new E28 and the old Sakic curve but find the E28 to have too much toe and the sakic not enough. So Maybe Versteeg? Oh also in the past I like the drury curve but don't like the wedge on it.

Could be wrong but i believe the Easton E28 and the Versteeg should be almost identical.

I haven't tried the slovak but the Base hossa I have is open like a drury.

  5. Really? I have been to peranis in Livonia and Taylor MI and have never had a problem. All the personnel are eager, helpful and knowledgeable. Ill come in and ask about sticks or skates, they'll ask the right questions and find me the product Im looking for, even if its less expensive than what I was originally asking about. Last year they had their annual sale in the beginning of the summer, I found a pair of McKenney Pro Elite Pants marked down from 110 to 30. I asked, the man said that wasn't right, but walked over to check anyway. He found that they had been mismarked (should have been 30% off, not $30.00) and made a special note to let me have them for thirty bucks.

I went to peranis in Livonia many years ago and the store was beautiful. However, the one we have in Dallas is shabby. Nothing is organized it's just piles of equipment in bins, though their gloves are organized. But most of the workers act like your presence is an inconvenience to them.
