  1. Hello everyone, as it’s been mentioned above, Sher-Wood Athletics Group has sold the Sher-Wood trademark and some of the assets to INA International, a division of Canadian Tire (CTC).

I'll let the dust settle a little bit more before I elaborate on the go forward strategy of the Sher-Wood brand within the CTC portfolio. Personally, I've been retained by CTC as Manager of Sher-Wood for INA. Unfortunately, some very good people from our head office were let go, but the North Americain sales force was retained.

Sher-Wood will be run as in independent brand and will continue to develop, market, and distribute Sher-Wood products to customers in Canada, the United States and internationally. The mandate is actually to grow the brand across all distribution channels as opposed to solely becoming a house brand for just the CTC banners.

I was thinking this was probably the case but i think the use of the word "still" threw me. However I'd still like to know when the new curves will be available.

Hi Toby, Stewie is correct. Nothing has changed about the EK60 since it's original launch in Sept 2015.

For the new additional patterns, we will start shipping them in July.

The playrite is not gonna be a hit because I cannot find their products anywhere.  I need the ek60 flex 20, but can't find it.  All I see out there is the flex 25.  Very frustrating.

    Hi Formicburn,

We just starting shipping the Playrite program this past month. However, the majority of retailers are taking their inventory in spring/summer to have stock for back to hockey.  Send me a PM and I'll help you locate a store that would have the 20 flex you're looking for.

    Thanks

  4. Does anyone know when the intermediate size of the REKKER EK15 Vintage LE will be available in stores?

Sherwood's site just says Spring 2015 so I emailed them and they said the intermediate has been released and is on back-order until June but I can't find one in store or online.

I'm a small guy and the senior flex along with having to cut it down quite a bit would make it way too stiff. I've been looking for a higher-end stick and I love the features and look of this one. Never used a Sherwood before but I'm looking to try something new.

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. I'm new to the boards and did a quick search with no luck.

    Thanks!!

Hi HattrickSlayze, send me an inbox message with your address and zip/postal code. I'll help you locate a dealer who has the product.

  5. Do T90/100 still come in LKP variants? Has Sherwood streamlined so that True Touch = Mid-Kick, while Rekker = Low-Kick?

Everything has been streamlined. As you stated True Touch is mid kick while Rekker is low kick.

New price-point sticks look awesome. A few questions:

1-What is the MAP on the 2nd Gen T100 and T90?

2-It's hard to tell from the pictures, but do the T100 and T90 have the same see-through carbon "SHER-WOOD" logo on the backhand as the T120, or are the letters filled in with black paint? That's definitely the sexiest feature of the T120's design.

3-Are the new T100 and T90 available in stores, and if not, when will they be released, and with what available curve/flex combos?

    Thanks!

    1. T90 Gen 2 is $139.99 while T100 Gen 2 is $179.99

    2. Yes both the T100 and T90 2nd Gen have the see-through 12k weave in the backhand Sher-Wood logo. T80 and T30 2nd Gen are paint.

    3. T90 and T100 2nd Gen are already in some stores (those which requested early booking delivery). Others, will have them early spring. The pattern/flex options are listed in the catalogue.

As per my rep, the LKP sticks are still available in the T series.

The new 2nd Gen T90 and T100 do not come in the LKP option. We do however have some remaining inventory of LKP so you might be able to find some with certain dealers.

  6. EK11 looks like a great second price point stick, I wonder what Sher-wood will MAP them at.

The stick is really nice. Great feel and pop. Low kick and same shaft geometry as the EK15, but a bit heavier and beefed up. MAP will be $139.99/$149.99.

Is there an ETA for the player version of the Sher-Wood stick customizer?

Unfortunatley, I do not have a precise date at the moment. I'll keep you guys posted.

  7. Haven't seen this anywhere on the forums but wasn't sure if it was new thread worthy, but...

I can't be the only one excited for this:

    http://www.sher-wood.com/customizer/

I am holding off as long as I can buying a back up to my ek15 until either the vintage graphics edition is released or I can custom order in a batch less than six with that graphics package. Should I be dropping hints to the wife for the vintage release Michael9 or continuing to check if the customizer is coming online before X-Mas?

Either way, I love me some sher-wood sticks, consider me a convert.

EK15 Vintage will be released this month. Check out this thread on page 2 for more information: http://modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php/topic/66561-sher-wood-t120-stick/page-2#entry1014291

  8. Weird photo of my legs but only one I got of these...

I wanted to try a tighter fitting glove so I got these when they were on sale for about $30. They are the most comfortable glove I have ever worn and the protection seems top not with either plastic or very hard foams all throughout the backhand and finger protection of the glove. Very impressed. A few weird design choices but I am very happy with the purchase nonetheless.

Sherwood N10, I believe they are the same as the Rekker EK9.

At $30 they're a steal! Those were samples which were made for the Winter Classic Alumni game between Toronto and Detroit. The proposed design didn’t meet the league’s standards so we went with the traditional Red Wings color scheme instead.

  9. I was a bit shocked with them. Went into the store fully expecting to buy CCM CL and ended up not liking them. These were ridiculously comfortable. Like WOW comfortable. And the fact that the knee cap actually bends away from the shin was fantastic for mobility.

I was previously in Nexus1000 which were a nice shape, but man I hated the scratchy liner.

I was pleasantly surprised as well with this year’s Easton protective line-up. Especially thin shin and elbow pads, they have a really nice fit.

  10. Are the EK gloves roughly the same fit as the Nexon (are these a replacement to the Nexon? I'm a bit confused if these are replacements or a separate new line..)

The EK gloves are based off the Nexon gloves with only a couple tweaks. For the EK15, the fingers were adjusted for better comfort, a stretchable breathable nylon shell replaced the polyurethane shell and design patterns and colors were changed to resemble the finish of the EK9/N10 gloves.

How can I go about ordering a custom order? I have a buddy that recently ordered some custom blade from s

Sherwood/Tps before the move and I was wondering if you would still have those blades on file or if not how could I get the same pattern on a custom order?

    Send me a PM,

Also, for thread relevance: Handled the EK15 in a store and it does feel noticeably lighter than pretty much everything else out there. I wonder if they'll make a mid-kick version (analogous to the T90/T100 LKP)?

There are no current plans to offer a mid-kick EK15. However, next year's launch will feature a high end stick from the True Touch series which be suited for players who want a lightweight stick similar to the EK15 but with a mid-kickpoint instead.

  11. Sher-Wood has two Custom Programs. To summarize them, here is a simplified version:

Personalized Program: Available on stock EK15, T100, T90, SL700, SL750 and Sl800. Buy three units get a custom name plate stamped on your stick. Lead time is one week.

Full Custom: Choose either high or low kickpoint, custom flex, eight shaft geometry choices, custom blade pattern, 6 shaft finish choices, 7 decal options, custom nameplate. Minimum order is 6 units if the pattern exists in database, 12 if it’s a new mold. Lead time is 4 weeks on new-orders, 3 weeks on repeat orders.

  12. The pants section is confusing. The chart says that the T100 is a 2 piece construction, while the T90 has 'extendable zones'. Neither is mentioned in the description fo the pants above, and the descriptions says both pants have a 3 piece construction with no mention of extendable zones.

I agree that this part is confusing, their was some issues with our pant samples when the catalogue was produced. It is now corrected. We were forced to use older pictures and descriptions that do not match. Rest assured, the printed versions will have the updated pants section and the new pants are quite nice. If you have any specific questions shoot me a PM.

anyone know the fit of the respective Sherwood glove lines? in particular, how the rekker ek15 glove will fit?

The EK15 is a tapered fit glove.
