  1. I went in to a shop to try on some new skates. I tried on some As3, as3 pro, and 3s. The guy helping me said the ccm's are too stiff to try on out of the box. So, before I would try on any pair, he would bake them for about 4-5 minutes. Is this normal for pro shops? Id have to imagine that constantly baking a skate would potentially break down the materials faster?
  2. I've been playing with a Ribcor Pro PMT 55 flex P29 for a while. This week, I picked up a Jetspeed Pro2 55 flex P29. I cut it to the same exact length as my ribcor. I tried playing with it tonight and it feels like its way shorter. I have to drop my hand much lower now and knee bend deeper than I did before to get the blade to feel like its on the same level as my ribcor. I was baffled mid game. I went to the bench thinking i must have accidentally cut the new stick much shorter than the old Ribcor. But after checking the length on the bench, they are indeed the same exact height. How can 2 sticks with the same flex, length, and curve feel like they have such a drastic difference in lie?
  3. I've been using Ribcor's for a long time. I always loved them because the blade feels so stiff/pingy and i can always tell where the puck is. I'm looking at the new vapor models (2x pro or team) and am curious if the blade would feel similar to a Ribcor? I've only used a bauer stick once before and the blade felt bad on it. It was a Nexus and the blade felt "mushy", almost like i was stick handling with cardboard.
