    brand new recently purchased ice hockey girdle - black nylon with pads to go under my shell.

    left them in the garage next to random stuff the dog got busted the door into the garage and tore them up pads out and everything

    i was looking forward very much to noticing how much lighter I mightve felt on the ice with this purchase

    instead my dog left me a nice mess to clean instead

    Yea he was crazy cause with 14 seconds left in the game I got a goal to tie it up. So he goes by and elbows us when we are doing the..you know..hugging thing. I have a video of that one too, but the goal isnt as pretty so I didnt show you guys. :P

    Then the game winner with 6 seconds left - he throws his stick.

    This would probaly be more at a local rink then a outside store, but I saw it this weekend.

    Kids are sittin around rink before games, theyre like 10-12. Its obvious who their captains are or maybe just the "coolest kids", cause the rest of the team just follows them EVERYWHERE. So like two kids walk into the rinks shop and the whole team comes in right on their shoulders. Everything the first two kids look at, the rest of the team acts like its an autographed bible from Jesus.

    There were alot of people in this small shop trying to actually buy stuff, and when 14 kids come in cause they want to "part of the group" it just annoys you, well me.

    that is a great glove, i purchased a pair similar to those on ebay. if the auction has a "make an offer" option, go $70-$80 US, that would probably do it

    Be sure to get a quote on shipping before you commit- I was looking at a pair, and shipment to the US was close to 40 bucks.

    $40? Why? Assuming he is from Canada, how is it $40? I ship stuff to Canada all the time and the most its ever been is $15. Is it more coming out of Canada then going into?

    Helmet: Bauer 4000 i believe

    Shoulder Pads: Easton classic air, light but no protection

    Elbow Pads: very old eastons

    Gloves: RBK 8K

    Pants: very old ccms

    Skates: NikeBauer One90

    Sticks: Bauer Vapor XXX

    On a sight full of die hard hockey fans and equiptment fanatics, you dont even know what helmet your using! :lol: Gota love it.

    Getting Centered

    Tryin a Move

    If I were you, I would've kept driving down the left side...if he gives you a lane to the outside, try to vary your speed then "out-quick" him when he gaps-up and cut back to the middle once you get behind him. If he tries to cut you off or drive you further away from center, put a little move on him and try to catch him going to wrong way.

    By coming to the middle, you're making his life MUCH easier, as he doesn't have to decide when/where to get himself positioned infront of you. You have no angle on him.

    Just some constructive criticism/something to think about. Just for reference, do you remember how that particular 1-1 worked-out for you? Looking at the picture, I can't really tell if he's biting or if he's crossing-over/getting his feet set. If he was biting, you had more than enough room to read it/get by him. Getting set? I think you're best bet then would have been to try using him as a screen (even though it looks like the puck was on-end)

    Thanks for the pointers. As for the rest of the play - I got owned. I got half way around him but he put a tiny bump on my hips and it threw me off balance when I was already off balance trying to get around him. No shot on goal.
