Mission Soldier pants, had them since 2010/11 in plain black........love them! They are still in great condition except for the velcro shin strap. Also got some really old retro/vintage Mission pants that are huge, even for me! White and blue they are but can't remember what they are called, had the huge nylon panel on the front of the knee shin part.
I tape mine with clear parcel tape.

With the current model, I want to know more about width and how they thermo mould? I want to try but not when I can't try them on....

Thanks for the reply! I'm currently in converted Rbz's so would just get the boot but I'm a EE fit and a big one at that across the forefoot. How do they mould?

I'm intrigued by these and the price to be able to use on online but I have extremely wide feet. What do the fit of these compare to? I'm looking to find out a width comparison. Did message verbero but got nothing back! Cheers

Has anyone ever considered ventilation when it comes to a conversion and whether it makes any difference? I converted some Rbz's and have only just wondered whether it makes any difference and whether anybody has actually modified the boot for ventilation and if I should do it?

Can someone help me with and outsole issue after conversion please? I've converted a pair of RBZ 100's and knew about the sole coming away slightly around the toe so epoxyed the little bits and left them.
On one side of one of the toeboxes the sole came away even more, even though I had epoxy in it. To rectify this I filled the hole with as much eposy as I could but there is still that flex when weight is applied to the boot.
Has anyone got any advice on how to solve this? Do I need to use a stronger epoxy? Do I need to use the epoxy to bond the sole to the boot rather then fill the hole?
Thanks in advance guys!

I would agree with the dremmel of the second wheel. I've converted the 100's with Hi-Lo and have had to do the second wheel on both skates so you will definitely have to with 80's.

This is going to be pretty old subject but I got a pair of rbz 100's recently for the sole purpose I converting using an aluminium hilo chassis and being a pair of skates to last me forever but after reading a couple posts people were writing about the soles being a problem. Can anyone give me any advice please. Thanks

Done another conversion, this was few weeks ago. Thes were purchased from ebay for around £20 having hardly been worn. I'm loving a retro bit of hockey equipment at the moment. Got the chassis off a friend who had them mounted to a pair of nike quests which I had to remove and re-fit. I was worried the chassis was too small but they feel fine. Loving the stiffness of them! May have another pair but no chassis. I was considering doing a conversion with a full 80mm setup even though I've always used Hi-Lo?

Depends on how big the gap is though.

These are more of a restoration/repair then a conversion. The rear wheel broke off the chassis and I'm not looking for a top of the range pair, just a comfy pair and lets be honest they just don't make 'em like they used too! Always good to recycle aswell!
Skated on them and they felt good and solid. Thanks for all the advice. Onto the next one, just a case of getting hold of the chassis!

Have you seen the video on YouTube? I did a conversion of the measurements and they work out at M3.5 bolts so I used M3 although M4 might be better as they have bigger head.I have a bunch of hardware and can help you out. Let me know.
You want to get m3/m4 captive tee-nuts plus m3/m4 bolts in both 10mm and 12mm. I got a few 14mm and 16mm in case others are just a little too short as I found. Also get flat washers. That's it really. Can get thread lock if you wish and it's upto you what bolt head you go for. I use a user called kayfast1 or kays fasteners on eBay. Never had a problem. Tee-nuts were someone else though.
Have a search on YouTube for the video.

Looking to mount a hummer on my ice skates. Problem is in the UK I can't see tnuts anywhere online, and I'm also unsure of what material to make shims out of to create the clearance required.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
eBay mate for all the hardware. I've done one job. The best way to put it is a restoration/repair then a conversion but got all the gear from eBay. Incase you're wondering I'm from UK aswell. Using the 3mm bolts was fiddly though! Will have to upload the pictures I think. Need any more advice let me know and I can pass on wisdom from the guys on here!

Thanks for the heads up gosinger, I did search through this thread to find alignment tips but didint go back far enough! Thanks.

Ok thanks for your help, looking to do 3 pairs. Managed to get m3 tee nuts from eBay.
Will read that thread later on and have a look. They will all be Hilo. As much as the idea of straight is intriguing me to try, I'm not spending more money when I've got what I need.
Thanks for the reply.

I'm looking to convert some ice hockey skates as I can't really afford to be paying out big money at the moment and there aren't many boots that fit properly. I've been studying this thread as well as watching the video posted to youtube but before I go ahead and start making these up I need some advice.
Lining up the chassis - Once the center line has been marked and 'halved' is the middle of the chassis meant to be lined up with the middle line? I've read people having the chassis set back slightly? Also the measurement front and back is meant to be in the middle I guess?
This next question is for the guys from the UK. Now if I convert the materials used by the US guys it works out as using M3 threaded bolts? Is this what you guys have used? I purchased a load of materials but they seem a bit small?
Any help would be greatly appreciated sooner rather then later so I can get these done, raring to go!!
Thanks in advance!

Been using some ceramic bearings I got from ebay for about 7 years now. Clean them every so often. No rusting, no pitting and the balls just keep going. Got Bones reds on my other skates.
I'm more intrigued to know what people use to clean their bearings?
