We insist that our players see a concussion specialist rather than just the players GP before their return to play. Even then there is specific protocol and time line after they are cleared. All our players have done baseline testing to help diagnose and gauge recovery time. Soccer BTW, not hockey.

Sent a broken shaft in to CCM/Reebok in early January. Figured it didn't qualify for warranty until a new CS showed up two weeks ago. Slow, but nice.

Stompin' Tom Connors at 77 from natural causes
A few years back I was helping a friend of Tom's. I got to know him a little. I always found it amusing that is wife, Lena, would call me and say "Stompin" would like to speak with you. I couldn't bring myself to call him "Stompin" so I just used Tom.

I had to take a sociology class once. It was terrible. I didn't mind psychology so much, but sociology was absolutely painful.
Glad I didn't bother with school for long :)
Hey, I resemble that remark. I majored in Sociology...

@Law Goalie: I honestly wondered if somebody had hacked their email or something... it was THAT stunning that a real company would handle customer service like that. That's kind of where the "you dont even work for hockeytron, do you..." comment came from.
@team50: None of the emails were edited. I'm not going to go on here and post this kind of thing without full disclosure. Certainly wouldn't try to make anyone look bad where it wasn't deserved.
@Hockeycrazy: Most certainly not hired by somebody to post any of this. Simply a customer who had money in hand, got pretty poor customer service which could have easily been rectified by a "sorry, we didnt get your email. We'd be happy to help though!". But that's not what I got. I got rude replies stating that was lying about having sent emails.
As I posted earlier, I sent THREE emails to HT in a span of about 2 weeks or so, plus 3-4 messages on HT's Facebook wall. If somebody had simply replied "it's much easier for us to handle team orders via phone", that would have been fine too. But email is better for me, so that's the route I went.
As I said, I couldn't be more happy with the Tron 405 stick I have and Tron jersey. Both are fantastic (and I've scored a goal in every game I've used that stick in). Why would I own either, if I was intent on destroying hockeytron's business? Like I said, I had MONEY IN HAND to place a team order for jerseys.
I have not lied or said anything that was untrue. I am simply an angry ex-customer who was treated poorly, and simply sharing my experiences with the public. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. People are 100% free to ignore every word I said and still shop at HockeyTron - it really doesn't matter to me. I'm just throwing it out there and people can do as they please. Vote with their wallet, I always say.
I hope for their sake it WAS a hacker. I really do. I too have heard good things about their customer service, and their FB page reflects a lot of happy people. Even more reason to be shocked at the email exchange.
Sorry, just to clarify, the question of editing the email you posted was directed at Hockeytron. I thought it may be suggested that the emails, especially the offensive ones were edited.

Did Chris edit some of your email responses? Sounds like he got under your skin and you used some strong and offensive words.

there was an article in USA today citing a study that came to the same conclusion that I did
Perhaps this is the article?
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2011-10-26/red-light-camera-deals/50943554/1
Hardly a rigorous study, but worthy of reporting I suppose. I should note that the US and Canadian systems seem to work very differently. There are no "deals" with the vendors here and no profit sharing. The units are purchased at a cost of around $100000CDN.
I work in law enforcement and a few years ago I was asked to participate in meetings with local police and our Region's Public Works Department to discuss road safety and efforts to reduce speed and collisions (particularly fatalities). Other than how much the equipment cost, there was no discussion around using technology as a source of income for the Region. The mandate from the Chief of police was clear: make the roads safer. For the record, I did not recommend red light cameras.
Perhaps keeping the politicians away from these meetings helps focus on road safety rather than “money grabs.”

Well...the ticket itself is 'only' $260. I can live with that. You break a law...you have to pay! It's the "victim fine surcharge and other fees" that scream cash grab to me!
The VFS is supposed to go directly in to programs designed to help, support and compensate victims of crime rather than the government coffers. Think of it as a charitable donation.

It has nothing to do with safety, it's just a money grab. I saw a recent study that showed accident rates were up at every one of the surveyed locations after cameras were installed.
Haha...love the money grab argument.

I can't believe after watching that crash that there was only 1 fatality! Where there others injured...? if there were...obviously Dan's death got all the coverage...but I'd be surprised if no one else was hurt.
No other major injuries. Power taken to hospital and released, while Mann and Hildebrand were kept in hospital for observation. Whelden hit Paul Tracy's car. Tracy tweeted that he was going for a bike ride to clear his head.
I love car racing and Indycar. In my office I keep a paddock photo that I took of Greg Moore's car in 1997 in Michigan.
Really sad.
