  1. I just ordered a pair of the Code 5.1 skates that come stock with the Kemistry Magnium wheel. It is supposed to be a multi surface wheel. As soon as they arrive and I get some time on them I’ll post my thoughts.
  2. Ok....so there is a site I shop at that has these on clearance making the price more to my liking. No size chart though. I wear a size 10 shoe so what size skate should I be looking for? The Reign website is no help at all.
  3. You can get some decent roller hockey skates for about 150-200. Now that the new Mission line is out, the Inhaler NL line is being cleared out at most places with some great prices!!!! Alkali has the RPD Recon for about 150 as well as Tour with their Code 5 skates.
  4. I currently use the Inline Warehouse ABEC 7 bearings. Not pricey but they are serviceable. I clean them with the Sonic power wash and use Bones Speed Cream for a lubricant. All in all they have done really well for me with not a lot of money out of pocket. A lot of times they have a deal if you buy a set of wheels, the bearings are half off.
  5. I’m pretty sure they have the neutral pitch.
  6. My Code 5’s have been doing well with a lot of use but I have only had them since November. I guess time will tell. I do like the look of the new line. Once these wear out I will probably step up to the Code 3.one . Looking forward to some reviews.
  7. The new Tour skates are at In-line Warehouse.
  8. Ok......go to Rollerdad News on Facebook and they have the demo video of the new Code skates with the Kemistry wheels. The video was posted on February 6th.
  9. That I’m not sure. Saw a quick demo video on Instagram and in the description they mentioned the new Kemistry wheels. Sounds like Tour will be making them. I wish they would hurry up and get more info out. The website is out of date. I emailed and they actually said that they are getting ready to relaunch the site. Can’t come soon enough.
  10. Apparently they have new wheels coming also called Kemistry.
  11. Looking forward to seeing more info about these. I use the Code 5 right now.
  12. Just recently bought my first set of Konixx Pure wheels. They are what everybody says they are. Yeah they hit the wallet harder than other wheels would......but so far they are definitely worth it.
  13. Customizing your colors is interesting. Also the new Bauer models look pretty good.
  14. Saw those on Facebook. Impressive looking skate. Wonder what the price will be.
  15. I’ve run into the same problem. Don’t really want the Tour skates but the options are limited.
  16. I went and ordered the Tour Code 5’s. Looking forward to getting back into this.
  17. So I went this morning and tried on both. I wear a size 10 shoe so I followed the size charts for both brands. Unfortunately Alkali recommends an 8.5 but the RPD Lite R only comes in full sizes. That being said, the size 9 Tour was more snug than a size 9 Alkali. I tried squeezing into an 8 Alkali but that was no go.
  18. I understand what you all are saying about the skates. Im going to try on both brands but am now looking at going a little higher in the range if the fit is right. Possibly the Tour Code 5 and the Alkali RPD Recon.
  19. Thanks for the reply. Time to go try both on and go from there.
  20. I’ll try to keep this short. A few months ago I got divorced. No kids but now have some free time I didn’t really have before. There is an outdoor rink near me where a group of people gather a few nights a week and play pickup games. I am very interested in getting back into it Roller hockey and playing one or two nights with this group. The rink like I said is outdoors but the concrete is super smooth and well maintained. Now onto the questions. There is a shop called Play it Again sports near me that does sell some hockey equipment. I have picked up a couple sticks and some preowned gear in great condition but now I need skates. They sell only 2 models brand new. The Tour Code 9 and the Alkali RPD Lite R. I know both are low dollar, but I’m looking for the lesser of two evils here. I like to be able to try skates on before purchase and this gives me the opportunity to do that. I’m just looking for something that will get me playing right away. Down the line I will order something higher end. In the meantime, which of the two models should I go with?
