  1. So after my first set came in and was too small (not sure how that happened) my second set arrived a few weeks later. When getting them baked I noticed that my instep is still protruding out of the boot however at least the skate wasn’t too small in length. They feel way better than the first pair I got but I still have this issue with the instep, which after lacing (I don’t tie it tight because I can’t take the pain) it still hurts from the down pressure of the laces. Also there’s a bit of negative space in the arch on both feet and due to the instep problem it’s jot like I have any more room to give to fill the void. Both holders have a very loud click when standing, walking and skating (prolly an easy fix). Also (not sure if I’m just being nit picky here) the carbon fiber that is showing has a lot of pitting and holes in it like they forgot the top coat, just weird. If everyone else’s has that then I’m not really worried but my first pair didn’t have that carbon fiber issue. I did try playing 2 games in these and both times my toes went numb by the end of the game and when pulling off the skate the top of my instep was red AF. I want these to work because I love the pitch, the cut of the boot, the foot wrap (which I hope the instep issue can be resolved) and even though they aren’t fitting me well at the moment I can see why people like this skate. Not sure if there are any tricks to gain a few more mm in material height but I will go back to my fitter and let them work their magic. its such a bummer to deal with this but as most of you have said, true seems to be willing to make it right and until they do I’ll be here waiting.
  2. I want to agree with you on this one. For my experience, I have had more communication with a kid I used to donate money to in Africa than I have had with true. I have written them multiple times and have got single line answers from them shutting me out. I don't want to be one of those pesky customers that call all the time and bitch all the time. They are a professional company and should be given a chance to make a professional amends to the situation. I guess I am on edge because of the last response I received from them indicating that my skates would be remade and that they will have to increase the holder size.. My left foot is larger than my right (by a hair) and the left foot fit fine (except the instep issue, damn it hurt) and my right foot couldn't fit the length as my big toe was jammed against the toe box (and the instep was also just as bad). I asked why this needs to happen as I get the feeling that my skates will be another off the shelf skate that was molded to a last that is close to my foot but of a larger size and that they will add plugs to the boot. Jebus I hope they don't do that, but lets see what comes of this, lots of horror stories on here and I hope like hell I am not one of them, if the past has proven anything to me from all my other custom made footwear, I have about a 50% chance of getting another dud..... RIP.
  3. Hey for those that had a remake of their skate for whatever the reason, were you issued another order number or anything to monitor progress? I have tried using the first one I was issued but nothing new on it. Was just curious because I haven't heard anything from anyone and have been the one hounding with phone calls and emails and have only been told "we are remaking the skate".
  4. Hey, new to the forum here and as commented by sniper9 I’m the one with the recently ordered skates that do not fit length little alone did the instep issue get addresssed. I know now I should have taken pictures to show but I knew as soon as I stuck my foot inside I was in trouble because my instep was at least a full 1cm protruding out of the top of the skate and that was before putting the tongue over. This has been a problem with all my other skates and was the major reason for going the custom route. To be honest the width was spot on and I am a ‘g’ width, and the heel lock was awesome. But for some reason the right skate was like trying to put on a skate that was a full size too small and my big toe went numb after 1 minute of wearing. After trying on all the skates I’ve tried on I literally felt as if I was issued a “standard” boot from true that had enough width and not a real custom moulded skate to the 3D scanned render of my foot. I am not here to say true is a shitty company, and I’m rather optimistic about it all hoping that they will make it right for me. I am here to share my experience in the matter as I have always had difficult time with footwear little alone sports equipment for my feet. Do I wish I went with CCM or Bauer custom? I actually can’t say that because anyone can make this mistake. It’s how I’m going to be treated in the end is what’s going to make the difference here. I will say I got convinced that these skates were going to be a one shot deal and fit perfect to my feet because they were truly a custom skate but at this point and time I do not believe that is the case. Stay tuned for my saga, I will share what I can, and sorry for the longest post ever!!!
