  1. I'd like to open up conversation on good habits from members who sharpen regularly. I have had good luck with my edges on the ice, but certainly see room for improvement in the shop. I just switched to bladetech mirror ss blades, pleased after 1 skate. A few questions I have for the pros: Can I expect to have 1 setup that gives balanced edges on both skate holders? If I mark the bottom of my blade, should I expect this mark to be cleared by the first past, if it does not entirely clean should I adjust? After how many passes should you check the edge to notice a difference in your setup? Thanks!
  2. On the Tydan website, they have for sale Bauers pulse blade and so forth. Are they providing a profiling service also or do they have a part in the manufacturing of these blades? Yesterday I picked up a new set of blades, Pulse vs the Bladtech, but I went with the Bladetech because I presumed Made in Canada is better quality than China. After 30 passes on the new blade I got the a nice balanced edge on the ice today. Overall I am happy with this profile, and will continue to use it, I believe it is a triple 9-11-13. Good introduction to profiling. The blade felt smooth on the ice predictable and well balanced. Do you have any pointers regarding home sharpening with profiled blades, I use a Wissota sharpener. Can I use my old Bauer TS1 to find the right setup and transfer to the Bladetech blade?
