  1. The skatescribe scanner was misaligned so I asked for a P2 and got a p5.....lol So I decided to go back to just a standard gold and he looks like hes lost a step.....is way better backwards though! Lol May be time to try a Quad Hybrid.....do you have 230 Powerfly steel?
  2. The machine was off last weekend so my son was actually on a Gold p5.....he was pitched way too much, couldn't stop or turn but was lightning straight ahead. Got the pitch put down to 0 and he doesnt have the same jump he had previously......doesn't make sense to me , he was on Gold straight out of the box so wouldnt the zero pitch gold i just put on it be the same ?
  3. Question for Paluce......my son skates on Tydan Gold, I got a refresh done yesterday and the pitch on one skate was - 3.9 and - 2.9 on the other . Is this normal for the profile ? The employee was new so I didn't get a great answer. It didn't seem right so I had both skates done to a p2 which reads as a + 2......I'm now worried if I screwed up the profile or pitched him too much.....he has skated on a powercut p2 before and liked it .Hes a fwd so I dont think he needed negative pitch but just curious if thats how a Gold profile is and if my changes messed it up.....Thanks for any insight!
  4. What hollow did your kid and his buddies like the gold at? Mine just tried the gold , straight ahead was fast but he didn't like the crossovers....felt like he was going to wipe everytime he crossed over....
  5. Is there built in pitch on the tydan gold profile?
  6. Very interesting, thank you for the post! My son tried the powercut and although he loved it he seemed a bit flat. Speed and agility were really good but accelaration seemed a touch slower. I just got them done to a powercut 2 which adds 0.2 degrees of pitch which I'm hoping gets that accelaration going. Looks good in practice so far, hasnt tried them in a game yet.
  7. You lose the profile throughout the season after sharpening so often and I can tell when his is wearing down. I'm just looking to see if these profiles are more suited to him then what he has.....off-season seems to be the time to try new things.
  8. Did you try the powercut ? If so what were your thoughts?
  9. Hey guys, My ten year old has been skating on a 9/10 and I am looking to maybe put him in an advanced profile. I'm really stuck between the tydan powercut, max edge 981 or any prosharp multiple radius. Hes still a very North- South skater with a good stride that tends to get choppy as the profile wears down.....any insight would be appreciated!
