  1. Badkitty, Agian, if you don't like the idea of pre ordering, don't. I won't say a word to you about it I promise. I don't think I'll be able to answer the question of how I really like the skates till I get them, bake them, sharpen them, and skate on them for a couple of hours. But at that point I'll be stuck with them because neither my LHS or internet dealer will take them back. Isn't that how it goes with every skate pre ordered or bought of the shelf?
  2. No, you're getting blasted because you're acting like an impatient brat. Everyone knows that there's no skates to try on! Everyone just asked what their ONE90 size would be compared to another boot. You're the one talking about going to a store this instant and setting up an order. As far as thinking they're going to be sold out, relax. Don't expect people camping overnight for these. Your store will have plenty. Not everyone has $550 to drop on skates. "Everyone just asked what their ONE90 size would be compared to another boot." In my first post I said what boot I was already wearing. Nobody said, "well since you're this size in this boot, I'd say this size in a One90." Again, had that been said none of this would have started. Then I was called "unethical." Being in Home Improvement, I have to drive to peoples houses not knowing if they are going to do business with me or not. Yet I still have to treat everyone with the same level of customer service wheather it's the first or fith time I've been to their home and I do actually feel like they are wasting my time. Because you never know, they may buy something or tell someone else about you. BUt if you treat them poorly the first thing out their mouth to another person will be negative.
  3. hum, I know I've only got a high school diploma and I work in home improvement so I'm very familiar with a tape measure, and JR managed to measure himself and his fit fine. So unless youre telling me measuring yourself involves some kind of high level calculus I think I can handle it. If I only knew what the process was? :D Option (1): Get them online. Don't even size yourself. I'm sure once you get them from "FedEx" and they don't fit you're LHS will be more than happy to size you and exchange for one of their sizes. Yea right. But hey, at least you got them early. Option (2): Get sized in your LHS. Buy online. Pay an average of $60 for baking. That’s right, $60. Pay $10 for first time sharpening. I'm sure you will also get the everlasting love from your LHS sharpener. Happy Skating! Option (3): Stop whining like a little bitch. Realize you will never be good enough that these "wonder" skates will ever make a difference in your beer league game. Get them when your LHS has them in stock. Check the fit; maybe they don't fit your fat (or skinny) feet. Save time and hassle. Its people like you that make LHS prices higher. Believe it or not, we remember who good customers are and which rip off your time. You waste people's time with your scams. You work in home improvement? Ok, build me a deck. The day before you start construction after you buy all the materials, expect a phone call from me telling you that I found blueprints online and I will do it myself. Hope you enjoy the extra lumber. "Stop whining like a little bitch." Wow, I guess I'm learning what kind of language is allowed on this board. But anyway, I want what I want and I guess thats kinda it. Had my question been answered in the same manner everyone elses was this wouldn't have started. We could go back and forth all day about how we feel about pre ordering something sight unseen. But there are still internet shops out there selling gear, tv's, cars, and all sorts of stuff. If you don't agree with pre ordering something, don't do it. If you don't like porn, don't buy any. If you don't like the song on the radio, change the station. Your choice, I'm not going to bash you for it, and I'd expect the same from you. And buy the way, if I was going to build your dumb ass a deck, I would get a deposit from you first before I went and bought anything. So if you did call me the day before to cancel for whatever reason you'd be out your deposit, and I'd take the lumber back to Home Depot and tell you to be easy.
  4. If I could get them custom I would. I also beleive he said he had that foot pain anyway thats why he changed to the superfeet insoles. I have skated in a pair of these already and only had ankle presure which was beleived to be because I didn't bake them, and they were to big. I had no other problems with the skate. Isn't this topic "another one 90 question about sizing...?" I feel like I'm getting blasted for asking questions about sizing, and no one else is. No one else was told to go try a pair on 1st, you guys just said what you thought. I'm also assuming JR was the only person alowed to reallywant a pair :D
  5. hum, I know I've only got a high school diploma and I work in home improvement so I'm very familiar with a tape measure, and JR managed to measure himself and his fit fine. So unless youre telling me measuring yourself involves some kind of high level calculus I think I can handle it. If I only knew what the process was? :D
  6. I beleive JR said it best, "I feel like a kid on XMas...I don't work today and I'm in my pjs awaiting the FedEx truck..." Why can't we all share this feeling?
  7. I know I won't be able to go the day they come out. When I do go they may not have my size to try on. People are pre ordering these skates, so if this store sales out of my size, and I can't find a pair on the net, then I'll kinda be stuck without a pair. or having to wait longer.
  8. And we're talking about a skate that has to be baked. If they have to bake them thats fine, were're talking about 30 bucks maybe. The money is not the object. Having a pair when they come in is. Again, I don't see the harm in that. There are alot of benifits of buying them from the LHS. I'm sure my price will include free baking and a few sharpenings. And I'm perfectly willing to give them the money. Can they promise me the skate? I know nothing is guranteed, but if they say wait till they come in and take your chances thats just not good customer service to me. I'm willing to pay $500.00 plus now for a skate they don't have yet they should be able to hold a pair for me unless terms of their deal with NBH prohibit them from doing so.
  9. So what would you suggest I do in the event that they don't have my size when I get a chance to go there? That will put me in the same unethical situation of having them fit me and buying from somewhere else if I can find my size. Basically all I want to do is make sure I have a pair reserved that fit when they come in. I really don't think there is anything wrong with that. Especially since I'm willing to buy from them. I'm not going in there with my only purpose being to get fitted so I can buy of the internet. That would be unethical.
  10. I don't feel thats unethical at all. If they can't promise me a pair when they come in, why should I wait for them to get them in? I'd be more than willing to pre order from them. But what I don't want to happen is for them to for some reason tell me they are sold out or the skate's are on back order or something like that by the time I go back up to their store. Plus I find internet prices tend to be lower than store prices anyway, so if there was a pretty positive way to find my proper size I wouldn't even bother them. But if they can pre order me a pair I'd be more than willing to put my credit card on the table and wait till they get them in June and go pick them up. I appreciate all the info you have given me and by no means do I want you to feel as if you'e wasted your time with me. I will go up there and see what they say and again keep you posted.
  11. If they could just fit me but couldn't preorder it that would be fine. At least I'd have a better idea of what size I need and could pre order from someone else.
  12. JR Thanks for the info, I can't go out there til next weekend, but I'll keep you posted.
  13. Jr & Skates I went and got measured, right foot 10 5/8", left foot 10 7/8". The salesman told me I'd be a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe size. He said that nike skates fit 1/2 size smaller than shoe size. So he recomended that I go with an 8 1/2 D for a more snug fit. To me thats kind of a direct contradiction to what the box I have says size 9D, shoe size 10 1/2. So that should be a size and a half smaller or a 7 1/2 D in my case. What do you guys think?
  14. Skates First let me apologize for leaving you out. If you have any info that would be helpful please let us know. Or if I may place an order directly with you that would be even better :D But seriously, I directed my question to JR because of the post I read from him where he touched on the ordering process somewhat. Any help/info I can get from anyone would be greatly appreciated. -Derek
