Or, instead of large pics, just links to the pics are just as well.

It’s a Jr. Typhoon jersey I am wearing in the last picture.
oh, ok. Do the storm and the typhoon have the same jerseys?
-
Hey Hoffer and Swiss17, which teams are you on?
and Hoffer, is that a York Storm jersey? I guess it could be anything-its a stock jersey.
-
I gotta say, jon93, the goalie looks pretty sick in that pic.
-
nice holders though, oggy_3

I'm ok with just that one, average sized picture, but what really gets annoying is when people quote and requote and rerequote really, really BIG ones.

I have had the gloves for a few months now (they are amazing!) and today I just added the skates. My 1st pair of top of the line Ice skates. They are so good they broke my scoring drought, I ended up with 1 goal (awesome breakaway goal) and 1 assist. We won the game 3-0.
Only used about 15-20 sessions, paid 40% of the normal retail price, Im very happy with these and will be moreso once they are baked and set to my feet.
Top of the line skates? I thought the XXX was the top. Anyways, glad to see they're working excellently for you.
and thorpedo26, please don't quote all of those jumbo sized pictures just to say "crazy holders"

it feels better on my hands
do you usually do that to your sticks and are used to it?
-
Well, now that I've posted my 492 Sprungs in the Sprungs thread, I guess I might as well post the other pair of 492s I had Jay Mazer convert for me. Despite the fact that I still have the soft Labeda Millennium wheels on them, they serve their purpose as my outdoor skates quite well.
What size wheels are those?

He has some goalies testing them right now.
Are they testing the current sprung frame, or a different, goalie-specific one?
have any goalies here tried to use a sprung while playing net?
in theory it could help for goalies who like playing the puck or those who challenge out very far and need to break and change direction very quickly
I thought I heard some durability issues (puck its an arm, which breaks) which would be a bigger concern for goalies. Thicker ones, or different material maybe?
-
The way I understand Spring, is they help with your turning and stopping radius...why as a goalie would you need something like that? Goalies move side to side up and down. The reason goalie skates have 6 wheels is because the wheels are so small to allow for a lower center of gravity...
So, why not make a sprung frame that's engineered to do that?
I guess one reason that I'm itching to try one is because, as a goalie, I feel left out of the sprung world :D.

Those graf's with the blacks tuuk's are absolutely gorgeous.
Because the better the skates look the faster you go :P
hmm thats cool.. yeah I measured it across the visor took me a couple hours to get everything perfect since its curved and to get it perfect and then I cut it with a band saw.
Did you need to polish your edges at all? And you got a pic of the 690..wanna see that angle of the visor you mentioned.
I just got one of my files down and softened the edges and then I used my air sander to get them smooth enough. heres my 690 if you need a better pic pm me..
What's an air sander?
its an air-powered tool that uses air to power whatever tool head you have on it so I used a small disk to cut off a old rusted screw on my helmet and then I used a small snad paper disk to sand the edges down to make it smooth
ah, I thought you literally used air to sand it. thanks.

Quick question about hanging skates, gloves: Should you hang them with the opening pointing down, sideways, or up, and why? Or does it even matter?
-
I know, I noticed those too. Only a MSH'er would notice! At first, I thought those were goalie skates, because when goalies skate out, they just wear their goalie skates. But those are nowhere near a goalie skate.

Here is a link to a 3.5 minute photo montage of my last game. The music and photos make us look good. Too bad we lost the game. We're the defending champs, but it's not looking good this year. Hopefully we can turn things around come playoffs.

Great photographer, and I like your jerseys. My only complaint (about the photographer) is that almost every pic had only one person in it, and it'd be cool to see more "overall".
-
That's really cool, you get to play there. What team do you play for?
-
Well hey, most records (where no rules or equipment or anything have changed) keep being broken over and over again.
-
Yeah, that's what I think they are, sounds about right. I remember watching the olympics and this one guy was bitchin about how his skates would retract too early. I guess it works with teh same concept that ATL said.
-
Yes but would he not be faster with all four wheels on the floor?
Hmmm...why is that? I know it's true, not questioning it, but why? wouldn't there be less friction? I know speed ice skates have something special (no idea what it's called) that keeps the blade on the ice longer.
-
Btw it must be nice to have a brother that plays goalie.
It would be nice to have a brother who plays out...shot practice.
I use to get that all the time, my shells would always fall down, one time it even came off during a game, that was nice.
Yeah mine fell off before, too. Embarrasing. Being a goalie, I really don't wear it much anymore (to avoid that)
-
haha lol, all those girls in the background :D
-
what team are you on? nice jerseys.

Me against Northern Valley Old Tappan:
We won 6-2, had 2 assists that night.
I still think your team has way too much green. The team should be called The Jolly Green Giants
ok, I am SO making a "jolly green giants"

I love where the goalie stick ends up towards the end
