  1. hmm.. Well the only way i see Philly finding a good tender is to really mess with the current roster. Given Pronger's Olympic preformance, that deal looks worse and worse.

Ill agree he was terrible in the olympics but i think he is pretty effective in the NHL.

  2. If Ovie was going to fight (which he was), then he should have. All I'm saying is it seems now like Bradley doesn't think Ovie can take a punch. Sid's been in a couple fights, although quick. I HATE Sid, yet he has done something Ovie hasn't (aside from the preseason fight against Richards a few years back). I would have been all for seeing Ovie pound Downie's brainless head in.

I feel like the hit on Tollefsen was just completely uncalled for. Much like the charge Bobby Ryan put on Moeller from LA a few nights ago. The hit itself was clean, but still very dirty.

I guess I was also pissy because Emery was back in net.

As good as it would have been to see Ovie fight, Bradley did the right thing but it was a good job by Downie to get Ovie to drop the gloves.

  3. Just heard Emery is on IR with an abdominal injury that might require surgery. I guess this might explain the tail-off in his play.

The surgery is guaranteed, and he is out for atleast six weeks.

Sometimes you can't avoid a fight. Carcillo was not going to let him go. I thought Bradley was trying to skate away from it. I think he dropped the gloves because he had to. Carcillo kept goading him, hitting/cross-checking him. Sooner or later you realize that the prick isn't going to stop and you have to defend yourself. I'm a Flyers fan (but not a Carcillo fan), and I'd call it a sucker punch. I'd have no issue with the whole thing if Carcillo had allowed him to square up and have a fair go of it. In this case, I think that the suspension was deserved.

Cote's a horrible player, but I think he goes about his job in a respectable way. He got the Flyers off to a good start with his scrap tonight.

Even though they're down after two, I like what I'm seeing tonight.

With guys like Cote, Asham and Lappy, it's not like they're lacking in toughness without him.

He still has a lot more skill then three of those guys and is a lot more effective.

  4. It is all but certain that Gagne's hernias will require surgery, and Randy Jones has been placed on re-entry waivers.

Any ideas on how long Gagne will be out? Id have to imagine he'll miss the Olympics.

6-8 weeks, so I would imagine that hurts his Olympic chances.

I just can't see Gagne getting the call this time around with Canada's depth.I'm not sure how much of it was due to injury, but he looked invisible in the games I've watched this year.

I agree, there is too much competition for Gange to make it and now with his injury he has no chance.

  5. Mississauga Majors will be beginning of next season what I heard from equip manager..........as for Buzzers not sure if junior A teams have equip sales

Yeah i am pretty sure junior A teams do not have equipment sales due to the low team budgets.
