No. Your steel isn’t ruined. CCM’s finish doesn’t really have any performance benefits, and does burr up more than other coated options. I believe CCM had to put out a disclaimer that their SB Black can be honed. It’s somewhere in another MSH thread.

Or in some cases, the shop is too small to carry other brands so they put all of their eggs in that particular brand's basket because that's all they can get. -
There really wasn't any doubt after that whole debacle last season that he wasn't sticking with Bauer. His deal was up in late August. Warrior was close, but CCM got in there.

True1 as in that manufacturing process, not a true one piece stick. Interesting. I never knew that, but that does make sense. Lower volume for 2nd year orders, opening up resources for the new line at the Mexican factory.

It depends on the manufacturing process. The traditional True1 method is still done in Mexico. That factory is only set up to make that particular style of stick. The SL and Fantom sticks are made differently, and are made in China because of that.

Why don't manufacturers use Poron or D30 in skates?

Should've quoted mojo122's post as I was referring to Bauer using Poron ankle padding in the Supreme T1 NXG and Reactor 9000. Also, to add to the conversation, both of those materials really don't do well with movement, in the sense that it doesn't flex well. -
