  1. Breathability is probably the number 1 factor. I can't stand drowning in equipment. My next ordeal with be shoulder pads that breathe.
  2. I wear a 14 I dunno the STX does not have airflow holes. Rinks are getting hotter these days and I sweat bullets. Are the STX light weight?
  3. Thank you. I saw those and are bit too big. I am hoping some other brand will be similar.
  4. What do they mean by oversized holder? I have very small feet so would I be able to get a longer holder? I always want my players skates to have a longer blade like my goalie skates. I also enjoy a flatter profile. I have Tru Blue goalie skates and I don't love them and need new player skates and I have always worn CCM player skates.
  5. My old easton shin guards are falling apart. What I liked about them is airflow and light weight and of course low profile. I am playing in an old persons league as a forward so mobility is everything. I do drop and block so I need some protection but not beefy. What brand is similar? The CCM Jetspeeds look like the same type of shape Easton had but I am not sure? Many thanks everyone!
  6. Inside legs. Both sides. The edge of the boot comes up my leg about an inch passed my ankle. The edge is sharp too. I am hoping I can solve this.
  7. Just received VH goalie skates. The model with a Bauer cowling. I was 3D scanned for the fitting (via ipad) and the skates were baked once. I decided to try the skates without my superfeet yellows. I skated in a practice for and 90 minutes. The issue I had was the top edge of the boot slicing into my leg everytime I went in a butterfly or pushed side to side. This is the top of the boot above the inside ankles. I think the inside area curves in a bit too much and digs into my skin- the composite material is so so sharp. Or I could be over pronating and I should throw in my yellow super feet. Anyone else have this issue? I am sorta baffled there is not a cushy comfort ring over the rim of this top boot area. Everything fits amazing except that area. I guess I have large calfs. I just hope I can heat gun it and bend it out slightly or else I am going to have to wear a wrist band around my ankle or by some gel pads.
