I'm in the blue jersey. Looks like I dodged a check but really I think he just tripped...lol

Sorry for the horrible image quality, I had to crop it out of a much larger picture.

HAHAHAHA The rink staff all know that kid. We call him Ovie. Kid is a nice guy, but just brutal. His latest thing was his self modified helmet. He took his cage and cut out the grid that would be around his eyes, and put his stupid mirrored visor inside of his cage. It is ridiculously bad looking haha. that pic is just classic Ovie.

I wish I had a picture of his hideous cage/visor combo he made. Hopefully he'll be back next season, I love hearing him yell at everyone up and down the ice...

  2. Really? Even after removing the shoulder caps?

Either way, I decided to rip the shoulder caps off my V04's

    [v04's]

How did you move the velcro pads on the chest part of the shoulder pads?

I ripped the old stiching out and sewed them on a couple inches over. It was a huge pain in the ass trying to sew through the padding by hand

  3. The farrels are still pretty bulky

Is that a joke? The farrells are the least bulky pads ever. It doesnt even look like im wearing anything under my jersey. My coach showed up late after we were all dressed and actually checked just to make sure. Dont just haul facts out of your ass.

Not to try and start a fight but that's what I thought too.

  4. Finally got around to taking a picture of everything I've got.

  5. I like the graphics, wish they(and other companies) did away with the chrome and went with a flat silver or pewter.

I like the graphics too, I just don't see them holding up well. They weren't sprayed very well with clear and I can feel the edge of some of them. As long as it holds together/performs Ballistik will definitely be getting my business.

I noticed the same with my 22 Caliber I got. One of the A's in the Ballistik is already half off. However, I think you'll like the stick. My 22 Cal is really nice for a mid-range stick.

Do you know if e-bay is the only place to buy them? Do they come with a warranty if you get them from e-bay?

  7. Just grabbed these... $110 shipped. Virtually brand new. I'll for sure hang onto my black PPF's and these... not sure if I'll keep the RBK Pro Tack Red Wings I just got though now... for sure will let the G700 Graf's go now as I don't need that many pairs, lol. Love the fit/feel of the PPF's!

They are amazing gloves! I've got two pairs, one black and one blue!

  8. How was the Peranis/Hockeyworld sale?

I went on the second day, so a majority of the stuff seemed to be picked over; the selection of gloves and shin pads in particular were picked thin. But, there was a very nice selection of sticks at reasonable prices. Also, I was suprisingly able to haggle the price of the shinguards down because they were one of the last pairs left in my size. Overall I thought it was definitely worth the hour drive to get there.

Great news! Hopefully the sale up here will be the same. I've got about an hour drive there too.

And back to pictures of equipment...

  9. Quick question. Has anyone ever trimmed down the soft foam padding at the top of shin pads? I have an old pair of CCM Supra shin pads and the foam pads at the top are pretty long and interfer with the thigh padding on my girdle. I figure I can just undo the stitching, trim the foam and then sew it up again, but not sure if it is tough to hand sew this type of stuff and I dont want it to just rip.

I'm sure you could do exactly what you're talking about. It's not like that part shows, just make sure its sewn well enough that it won't tear. I will warn you though, i pretty much wrecked my fingers trying to sew through the chest guard and elbow pads.
