  1. Whats the mileage like on one of those beasts? Year?
  2. The day I get rid of my Latest sierra 1500 will be the happiest day of my life. All signs point to 09 Ram 2500.
  3. It's amazing how a built v6 can sound almost like a v8. What has been done to that engine?
  4. Anybody owned or driven a Trailblazer? My current truck is not doing so well and I've been considering one of these. Traiblazer SS of course. I'm also considering a Jeep Cherokee SRT8 but I've been pricing out a few and it would cost me quite a bit more, Plus i've never been a big mopar fan. Ive never been inside a trailblazer but I like them and the sound of a 6L LS2 in a midsize SUV is just dandy.
  5. With the new year coming up its about time for me to get a new truck. Seems like an annual thing now, and since I just smashed my current truck into a guard rail it seems about time to move on. I really like the new Avalanches and Tahoes but I think I might go in the diesel directed because I recently purchased a 25" fifth.
  6. I'm sure its not half bad as trying to pawn off a truck with 38" tires
  7. The dodge was the biggest pile i've ever driven, but that cummins is an absolute monster. I've decided on a 2008 GMC sierra 2500, my last truck 2005 sierra treated me good until I hit the ditch off the highway 2 weeks ago, and the looks of the new ones are growing on me(except the awful silverado). My only problem now is not lifting it once its in my hands...
  8. GM is coming out with a 2500HD Denali with the 6.6L Duramax Diesel. SO expensive but SO tempting...
  9. I love the power of the 6.4L, I test drove one and it was unreal. I just wish I could test tow one becuase that would be perfect. I'm going to test drive a 2007 Dodge with the 6.7L cummins later this week so I will probably make a decision after that, but the looks of that 08 superduty are just the tops.
  10. I'm trying to pawn off my current 2005 Sierra with the lift right now, which is proving to be very difficult. Since I just bought a 5th wheel trailer I've been looking at a brand new F250 or 350 with the 6.4L powerstroke. I've been wanting a diesel for a while now and they are selling trucks for next to nothing these days so nows the time I guess.
  11. Im ditching my truck very soon. I can afford the gas but its not even worth it anymore. Picked up a 2005 Chryler 300 in black which im in the process of blacking out, will be doing limo tint and smoking my head and tail lights later this week. Picking up some 22's probably later this month.
  12. There's an escy here with a huge lift. He apparently brought it to the offroad shop with only 68km on the odometer. One of the best looking trucks i've ever seen, must have cost an arm and a leg.
  13. Your lucky with 17mpg, but I guess thats due to the diesel. I'm getting around 17mpg right now only stock tires. But I've already got a 3" body lift on, 2" add a leaf, Ford Keys cranked to level it out and a shackle flip on my 2005 sierra. I currently have a 6" Superlift full drop lift sitting in my garage waiting for it to be nice enough for me to install, along with some 39.5"x13.5 Iroks to go along with the whole setup. Spent wayyy to much and I still need to regear. The upsides to driving around a lifted truck is the attention you get, and theres really nothing more fun to have on and off road. Don't bad mouth it until you've drivin one.
  14. Earlier in this tread I was talking about my favorite band Corb Lund, if anybody gets a chance go see his latest tour in north America. I can't say enough good things about his live performances, PLUS he sings his own modified version of the hockey song each show and it's VERY funny. On Canada day I think he had around 8 Verses instead of the normal 3 and it lasted about 10 mins. I found a link to one of his extended hockey songs so here you go. If your one of those genuine country music haters, stay far away.
  15. Not buying brand new, the one I have my eye on is an 06. If I we're to get new I could buy one now but I would rather spend the extra money I would use to get a new one on mods and such for the truck.
  16. My brother now drives my old truck, sad to see him demolishing something that I took such good care of. I just replaced the heater core last weekend too. I have to wait until after Christmas to pick up my New truck because they wont clear me for a loan until I work at my new job for 3 months, even though I make plenty enough to afford it. Should have expected this though, sucks because I found THE perfect truck on the lot and I can only hope it doesn't go before I can get it.
  17. I have to say, I'm pretty jealous of people who have nice cars bought for them. I paid for all my vehicles my self after working hard and none have them have been spectacular at all.
  18. Still wont be for a while but I caught the fever after my friends got their trucks. The truck that did it for me was my friends 2001 Silverado, 9" lift on 38's. Sick truck.
  19. The only reason I'm no longer driving the old girl is that it has 396,000 km and I need to replace the heater core. I'm keeping it parked on the street for future stick needs, I will never get rid of that old truck.
  20. I'll be able to run over entire stores full of them now.
  21. Funny this thread happened to be bumped, Monday I will be going to the Ford dealership to polish of the paperwork on a 2005 F150 XLT Lariat. Quite the step up from my 88 F150 so I'm pretty excited. 5.4L V8, 4x4 and before summer I should have it jacked up pretty good. Looking at an 8" lift and 37" tires.
  22. I drove my cousins Hemi and a rental 3.5L. The 5.7 Was balls out the whole time and I loved it, hauled ass all over the place. The 3.5 was a whole different story, it might have been because it was a rental but it felt sucked out and starved for power for what I felt is a pretty large car. I loved sitting in both but the engine difference was enough for me to stay far away from that car. Another difference is that the 300C was AWD but it still felt like I was driving my truck instead of a car.
  23. Don't know if anybody here has a taste for country, but this band is fantastic and they are already pretty popular up here in Manitoba and some other provinces. The Corb Lund Band. Fantastic Old style country music but with a little bit of a new age twist. I've seen him live 5 times including just last week at countryfest, he hands down was my favorite act all weekend and it's nice to see someone on stage with real genuine talent who actually sounds better live than they do on recordings. They have some fantastic songs such as Hair in my eyes like a highland steer, all I wanna do is play cards and the halarious and fun Truck got Stuck song if anybody wants to check them out. I cant praise this band enough.
